Marlow's Loving Pharmacist: Gary Wayne Newberry, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 75.

 Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 6, 2020, at the First Baptist Church, with Rev. Jeremy Witt officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

 Gary was born Wednesday, July 5, 1944 in Elk City, to Willard Thomas and Mary Josephine (Hager) Newberry. He had lived in the Marlow area most of his life and had graduated from Burns Flat High School. He earned a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Gary married the love of his life, Kay Webb in Burns Flat on January 22, 1966; they were married for 54 wonderful years before his passing. Gary enjoyed going to the lake and mowing. He was passionate about sports and coached baseball and softball. Gary loved to be on the greens playing golf. He loved to watch his children and grandchildren in sports; he was always their biggest cheerleader for not only his family but all of Marlow. Gary was a member of the First Baptist Church and was very involved in the church. He was a member of various associations in the community including Lions Club, Marlow Chamber of Commerce, school board, Oklahoma Pharmacists Association, and the National Association of Community Pharmacist.

 Survivors include his wife, Kay Newberry of the home, 2 sons, Treble Newberry and wife Angel of Marlow, Tobey Newberry of Norman, 2 daughters, Shelley Mitchell and husband Jerry of Marlow, Shanna Bateman and husband Shawn of Marlow, 10 grandchildren, Skyler, Jayden, Trey, Colt, Macey, Ryder, Lindley, Lyvia, Brantz, and Reece. He is also survived by a brother, Emory Newberry and wife Beverly of Blanchard, 2 sister-in-laws, Charolotte Newberry of Burns Flat, Bonnie Newberry of MT, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers, Norris Newberry, Jim Newberry.
