City Administrator Advises: No Dumping at Eddie Palmer Park

October 30, 2020

In his comments at the Marlow Municipal Authority meeting on Tuesday, City Administrator Jason McPherson said that the City would be working to prepare a dumping site and schedule debris pickup in the wake of this week’s ice storm.

After the ice storm of 2010, space was available at Eddie Palmer park for residents to drop off yard debris and branches. McPherson said that that is not the case for this event; the park entrance is closed. McPherson said that the City would soon open the dump site on McKinley road so that branches could be taken there.

“We’re working on a tree limb collection and dump site right now; we want a one-top site…There’s not going to be any dumping at Eddie Palmer at any point,” McPherson said.

“We’re probably going to try to give people the weekend to kind of collect some stuff.”

McPherson said that information will be available by the end of the week.
