George Edward Hervey

George Edward Hervey, 81, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 in Marlow.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 15, at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow, with Rev. Ron Maxfield officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, August 13, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM, and Sunday, August 14, 1:00 - 8:00 PM.

George was born Saturday, February 22, 1941 in Konawa, to John Sydney and Myrtle Lee (Stephens) Hervey. He was a graduate of Chickasha High School. George was a proud member of the United States Army and spent time stationed in Germany. He had lived in Marlow for the last 20 years. George married his best friend, Cecilia Mae Airington, November 21, 2000, in Lawton. He and Cecilia celebrated more than 21 wonderful years of marriage together. George was passionate about model cars and he enjoyed traveling. He loved his family and the time he spent with them. George will be missed by many.

Survivors include his loving wife of the home; 2 sons, Dewayne Edward Hervey and wife Stacey, Joe Thomas Hervey; daughter, Tammy Lynn Christensen and husband David; 9 grandchildren, Maddi, David, Heather, Joe Jr., Josh, Timothy, Candra, Aaron, and Marrisa; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Leroy Hervey, and Jimmy Hervey and wife Gwen; sister, Wanda Wells; brother-in-law, Gary Lynn Airington; numerous nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Lynn McBride, 2 brothers, LLoyd and Raymond, and 3 sisters, Gene, Helen, and Charlene.

Pallbearers will be: Dave Christensen, Tyler Hervey, Josh Hervey, Joe Hervey Jr, Joe Hervey Sr, and Tommy Wood.
