New Citizens to be Recognized

On Saturday, September 21 at 10am, several new citizens will be recognized with a proclamation presented by Representative Marcus McEntire at the Citizenship Corner, located on the second floor of the Duncan Public Library. The public is invited to attend and light refreshments will be served.

Those being recognized are Migi Cha, Marisol Almeida, Marcia Martinez, Javier Ortiz, Carmen Ortiz, Gabby Ortiz Leon, and Alejandra Martinez.

Classes and materials for instruction were provided by the Duncan Area Literacy Council. This project was made possible by a Library Services and Technology Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries along with a partnership grant from the Oklahoma Literacy Coalition and Tinker Federal Credit Union.

The instructor for the class is Nancy Litsch, assisted by Maria Martinez.
