    High Waters in Marlow – June 14, 1945
Marlow has never suffered loss from flood waters within the city yet the high water picture was taken last Friday by Nelson Studio and is an actual scene of high water which filled a low area at the ball park in southwest Marlow in spite of city drains to the sewer.     Area Skaters Present Exhibition: Terry Houk & Paula Cornwell were among 14 members of the Duncan Skating Club which presented an exhibition in the Central High gymnasium for students in kindergarten through 8th grades. Coached by Olga Barrett, the Duncan Skating Club participates in competitive skating throughout Texas and Oklahoma. Her students, ranging in age from five through 23 years, are from Stephens County and also the Lawton area.
