Bette Lou Ivey

Bette Lou Ivey passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 in Duncan at the age of 85.

　Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at the Duncan Cemetery, with Jerry Shaffer and Dr. Larry Martin officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

　Bette was born Thursday, April 19, 1934 in Grady County, to William E. and Pearline Mae (Gann) Taylor. She graduated from Rush Springs High School and later moved to Duncan in 1952. Bette worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for more than 34 years before retiring in 1986. She loved to decorate and go shopping. Bette enjoyed working in her yard especially gardening.

　Survivors include a daughter, Tonja Hanson of Duncan, 2 grandchildren, Summer Jo Martin, Mathew Martin, and a great-grandson, Mathew Martin, III. She is also survived by a brother, LTC. William E. Taylor of Lawton, a sister, Pat Ritter of Duncan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

　Bette was preceded in death by a daughter, Tajuana Jo Martin, her parents, and a sister, Helen Juanita Coffer.
