Tresa Rose Dobey

Tresa Rose Dobey, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 87.

Funeral Services were held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 22, 2020 for family only due to Covid restrictions, at the First Baptist Church, with Rev. Ron Maxfield and Rev. Brian Holland officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow. Tresa was born Sunday, September 11, 1932 in Seminole, to William and Lucille (Massey) Binning. She graduated from Seminole High School. Tresa married the love of her life, Charles Bennett Dobey in Fort Smith, Arkansas on March 11, 1950; they were married for 51 wonderful years before the passing of Charles on December 15, 2001. Tresa owned and managed Dobey Electric with Charles for many years and took great pride in working with her husband. She loved to sew and repair lamps. Tresa enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren, who were her pride and joys. She was a member of the Girls Scouts of America, taught kindergarten in her home for 6 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marlow, where she enjoyed taking trips with the Senior Adults.

Survivors include 2 sons, Charles Michael Dobey and wife Katie of Midland, TX, Steven B. Dobey and wife Tammy of Duncan, 5 daughters, Karon Beth Blay and husband Terry of Rush Springs, Anita Callaway and husband Dr. Paul Callaway of Wichita, KS, Dorothy Soles and husband Landon of Midland, TX, Lori Rene' Tyler of Arcadia, Barbara "Bunny" Sandy and husband Joe of Spring, TX, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Ann Squires-Hughes of North Little Rock, AR, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband, Tresa was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Billy Binning.

Pallbearers will be: Bruce Dobey, Brent Dobey, Corey Hughes, Jason Hughes, and Eric Dobey.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Taylor, Jim Hupp, Joe Ligon, Max Pyron, and Pete Boles.
