Samaritans Receive Wal-Mart Grant
The Marlow Samaritans recently received a check for $2,000 from the Wal-Mart Community Grant Team and Facility.
“We are thrilled to support your work in our communities and share your desire to provide local impact,” said Kabir Kumar, Sr. Director of Community Giving for the Wal-Mart Corporation.
“We are so thankful for their desire to ‘help us help others’ during this time of turmoil that so many of our families are facing,” said Carolyn Lowe, president of the local organization.
“It’s donations like this that help us provide much needed food to our clients. Every penny will go toward improving their lives and fulfilling daily needs,” she added.
Quoting Helen Walton, Ms. Kumar said “It’s not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived.”
