Darrell Wayne Loveday

Darrell Wayne Loveday was born September 6, 1953, in Newton, Kansas to David Darrell and Betty Joan (Harrison) Loveday. He passed away December 26, 2020 at the age of 67.

Live streaming of the Celebration of Life for Darrell will be available on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Randy Southerland will be officiating. Darrell grew up in Duncan and Marlow, graduating from Marlow High School in 1971. Following graduation, Darrell drove a grain truck for Speedy Simpson and remained lifelong friends with the guys he trucked with. After his son Colby was born, he started working as an HVAC technician. He worked for Davis Air Conditioning for a number of years. Then, in 2000, he began working for Cotton Electric Co-Op. After 19 years of service, Darrell retired from Cotton Electric. Following retirement, Darrell enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Bella and Jaxon, who knew him as Poppa ‘D’. He also loved spending time with his beloved dogs, Roxie and Lola.

Darrell enjoyed gardening and cooking. One of his favorite things to do was cook ribs and host large family barbecues. Darrell was a Christian who believed in God and prayed each night for his family.

Preceding him in death was his father, David. Darrell is survived by his mother, Betty; wife, Sylvia; daughter, Shelly; son, Colby; two beautiful grandchildren, Isabella and Jaxon; two loving sisters, Teresa and Linda; and a brother Randy and his wife Carla.
