Barbara June Brown

Barbara June Brown, 78, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in Lawton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 6, 2021, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel, with Rev. Preston Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 4 from 5:00-8:30 PM, and Thursday, August 5 from 8:30 to 8:30 PM. Barbara was born Saturday, March 6, 1943 to Floyd and Dorothy (Black) McKinney. She was a graduate of Marlow High School and lived in the Stephens and Grady County areas all of her life. Barbara married Jerry Don Brown on October 25, 1963 in Wichita Falls, TX. They celebrated 54 wonderful years of marriage before he preceded her in death in 2018. Barbara enjoyed music, traveling, and cooking. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. Barbara loved her family and the time she got to spend with them. Survivors include, daughter, Suzie Blackburn and husband Brian of Pearsall, TX, son, Tommy Brown of Rush Springs, 3 Grandchildren, Jordan Wilkes and husband Kaleb, Cade Blackburn of Norman Park, GA, and Brady Blackburn of Pearsall, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 2 brothers, Don McKinny, and Jerry McKinny.
