Sandra Schornick Reeder

Sandra Schornick Reeder, 79, of Duncan, went home to be with her Lord on October 1, 2021, in Duncan, Oklahoma, surrounded by her children. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 7, from 5:00-7:00PM at Whitt Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 8, at 10:00AM at St Paul’s Methodist Church with Pastor David Gardner officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Kara Ellis, Hunter Harris, Trey Harris, Sara Kennedy, Austin Harris, Callie Harris, Elle Harris, and Kasen Harris. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home. Sandra was born on November 2, 1941, in Snomac, Oklahoma, to C.F. Schornick and Pauline (Dills) Schornick. Sandra was a 1959 graduate of Duncan High School. Sandra lived in the Duncan area most of her life. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Duncan. Sandra was an avid sports fan. She loved watching OU football and attending OSU homecomings. She enjoyed game shows, crossword puzzles, Trivial Pursuit, reading and introducing her grandchildren to the classic old movies. She loved traveling with her children and Thursday night pizza with her family. She made several T-shirt quilts for her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren (The Magnificent Seven as she called them) and her great grandchildren (The Six Pack). One of her greatest joys was the annual Schornick Family Reunion. Sandra loved her family more than anything. She also enjoyed taking her two dogs she adopted from the Stephens County Human Society to Bark in the Park each year. Sandra worked in the Duncan area most of her life. She worked in the restaurant business where she met and guided numerous young people. She is survived by her three children: Bobby Harris and wife Kasey of Wills Point, Texas, Bruce Harris and Diann Brewer of Mansfield, Texas, Brenda Brown and husband James of Duncan; grandchildren Kara Ellis and husband Derek of Oklahoma City, Hunter Harris of Aurora, Colorado, Trey Harris and wife Kindra of Comanche, Sara Kennedy, and Brandon Coffin of Oklahoma City, Austin Harris of Wills Point, Texas, Callie Harris of Wills Point, Texas, Elle Harris of Mansfield, Texas, Drew Brewer of Mansfield, Texas; great grandchildren: Kierstin Coffin, Kasen Harris, Corley Coffin, Hagan Harris, Emerson Harris, Louden Harris; one brother, Yogi Schornick of Pensacola, Florida; one sister-in law, Joyce Schornick of Duncan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband; AJ (Jack) Reeder; both parents; three brothers: Jack Schornick, Joe Schornick, Buck Schornick; three sisters, Peggy Rowe, Sharon Hutto, Bobbye Costello; and daughter-in-law, Bethany Harris.
