Marlow Youth Football and Cheerleading held homecoming ceremonies on October 9 for 7U, 9U, and 12U teams before each game. Kings were chosen by coaches and teammates; queen candidates were chosen based on accumulated points for good behavior, kindness, hard work, and helpfulness throughout the season.

Homecoming king and queen for 7U were Jayden Burden and Ara Quezada. 9U crowned Colton Claborn and Ashlyn Gunn. Royalty for 12U were Vinny Salazar and Madi Hall.

All three age division teams are headed to playoffs in Duncan this weekend. The 9U team is the number-one seed in the bracket; 7U is number-two seed and 12U is fourth.

“The league is growing and showing more and more interest every year and clearly we are sending some talent up the chain,” said Marlow Youth Football board member Trevor Pearson. “The middle school went undefeated and a lot of those boys played for community league.”

Pearson urged the community to attend the playoff games on Saturday to support the teams and cheerleaders.

“We’ve had overwhelming support from the Youth Cheerleading organization,” Pearson said. “They have had an insane amount of cheerleaders and hands-down the most participation from any town we play.”

The 7U Marlow (2) team will play Duncan (3) at 8:30am, followed by Rush Springs (1) vs Purcell (4) at 10am. In the 9U division, Rush (2) will meet Dibble (3) at 11:30 and Marlow (1) plays Minco (4) at 1pm. 12U Marlow (4) will play Minco (1) at 2:30 and Dibble (2) will play Little Axe at 4pm.
