by Elizabeth Pitts-Hibbard

After a two-year delay due to COVID-19, the Marlow Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) will host the Harlem Wizards basketball team on Friday, April 8 at 7pm at the Marlow gym on 9th Street.

The world-famous Wizards will go up against an all-star “Blue Crew” team of faculty and administrators from Marlow Public Schools alongside Representative Brad Boles and State Senator Jessica Garvin.

“This has been a long-term goal of the PTO and we are so excited to watch it come to life,” said PTO president Kara Choate. “It’s been a seven-year process of getting on their books and then getting them here. We have put so much work and effort into this event that we hope the community will love.”

Tickets are on sale online at www.harlemwizards.thundertix.com/events/162831. Student or child admission is $8 in advance; adult General Admission is $10. Limited reserved seating and upgrades for courtside seating and additional perks are available at purchase. If available, tickets will be sold at the door; student tickets will be $10 and adults will be $12. The online box office will close at 11:59pm the day before the event.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be divided among all three Marlow Public School campuses, with a portion donated to Beautiful Day Foundation.
