Cheryl graduated from Empire High School. On June 10, 1967 she married the love of her life, Clinton "Butch" Wayne Swanson at Duncan. To complete this family, God gave them three sons -- Jeff, Jarrel and Justin.

She had many jobs over the years; she had worked at Haggar Slacks Company, doing the bookkeeping for their oilfield business, Lubrication Systems Company #2, and then at The Duncan Banner. She loved being outdoors, riding horses, camping, rodeos and traveling in general. Cheryl also enjoyed baking, cooking and sewing. She also played the mandolin. Most of all, she loved spending time with family, friends and her church family.

Preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Rowdy Lee Swanson, Cheryl is survived by her husband of 54+ years, Butch; sons: Jeff and wife Sheila Swanson of Tuttle, Jarrel Swanson of Duncan, Justin and wife Mary Swanson of Duncan; grandchildren: Roper Swanson, Makayla and husband Edward Eayones, Clint Swanson, Brandon Swanson, Bailey Swanson, Blake Swanson; brother, Daryl and wife Judy Ensminger; and sister, Cindy and husband Mardy Meadows.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Rowdy Swanson Memorial Scholarship at BancFirst.
