Marlow hosts wrestlers pre-turkey time

by Toni Hopper

It was the annual Outlaw Open wrestling tournament Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022, with schools from throughout the state participating. Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt was among the parents attending and watching the mat action. The event was the first time for many young female wrestlers, such as Madison Scott, a 7th grader at Duncan Middle School. She said she was stoked and nervous, with it being her first tournament and only second time wrestling.

Early morning competitors from Marlow included David Halliburton, a junior at Marlow High School, Justin Zhang and Cooper Brumley, freshmen, and Waytt Walden, Braden Bowman and sixth-grader Jb Morrow.

The Review will have a story in the next week's edition, Dec. 2. A complete photo gallery will be added to our website and shared to our Facebook page later this evening.

Happy Thanksgiving from Toni and Miranda!
