Roy Lee Black Sr., 81, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in Marlow. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Glory Bound Church, with Rev. David Woods officiating.

Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow. Visitation for Roy Lee will be at the funeral home, 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, and 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21.

Roy Lee was born Friday, April 11, 1941, in Marlow, to Lee Roy and Clema (Blundell) Black. He was a 1959 graduate of Marlow High School and later attended Oklahoma State University (OSU).

He grew up in Marlow, but lived in the Healdton and Wilson area for more than 18 years before his return to Marlow. Up until his retirement, he worked as an oilfield consultant. He also drove a truck and traveled to 48 states during that time.

Roy Lee married the love of his life, Ina Dollins, Sept. 16, 1985, in Las Vegas. He and Ina celebrated more than 37 wonderful years of marriage together at the time of his passing.

Roy Lee enjoyed gardening and fishing. His dog Jackson was his best friend and where you saw one, you saw the other. Roy Lee's family meant the world to him and he enjoyed spending time with them and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed.

Roy Lee leaves behind his wife, Ina of the home; four daughters, LeAnn Black of Fredericksburg, VA, Julie Sanders and husband Greg of Marlow, Penny Traber and husband Greg of Fredericksburg, VA, and Tricia Barnes and husband Bill of Locust Grove, VA; two sons, Lee Black and wife Gina of Lone Grove, and Billy Guinn and wife Cindy of El Reno; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Sissy Black of Duncan and Mary Switzer of Richland, MO; brother-in-law, Frank Dollins of Stillwater; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James and Larry Black, and nephew, James Gregory Black.

Pallbearers will be: Roy Lee's grandsons. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Shriners Hospital, or the donor's favorite charity. Online condolences may be made to: www.CallawaySmithCobb.com
