Helen Jean Neal Johnson Fisher (1933-2023) Marlow, OK

Helen Jean Neal Johnson Fisher was born in the Denton Community on September 12, 1933, to Viola Barber Neal and Leonard Neal. She passed away on March 30, 2023, in Oklahoma City at the age of 89.

Helen worked in the nursing field since she was 22. Eighteen years of that she worked at Lindley Hospital in Duncan, which she always said was her work family. She was a caregiver for many families in the Marlow and Duncan area. She had a caring smile for everyone and helped those in need. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow.

Survivors left to cherish Helen's memories are her son, Gerald Lee Johnson and wife Wanda of Marlow; son, Brian C. Johnson and wife Sharon of Wilson; daughter, Dana L. Anderson and husband Randy of Duncan; sister, Patricia Reeves of Chickasha; Half-sisters, Lori Blair and Sharon Scott of Texas; half-brothers, Gary Neal, Darrell Neal, Carey Neal, and Ruben Neal; sister-in-law Evelene Elliott, who was a dear friend, of Marlow; an aunt, Janet Hueske and Uncle, D. W. Barber of Waco, Texas; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much as well as a host of friends and other relatives.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Viola Johnson and Leonard and Margie Neal; her husband, Eston Fisher; sister Stella Mae Neal; three great-grandsons, Glenn Hanson, John and David Buskirk.
