Outlaw Boys Golf Takes 1st at Home Tournament

Marlow boys golf team finished 1st at the Marlow tournament Wednesday, at Generations Golf Course. The team of Lane Jones, Lane Boyles, Brad McClure, Ethan Travis and Drew Wollenberg shot a 316. Jones was 6th (overall) with a 77, Boyles was 8th and shot a 79, McClure was 9th, also with a 79, said Coach James Brown. Travis shot an 85 and Wollenberg shot an 81.

Pauls Valley placed 2nd in the tournament with 323, and Velma-Alma placed 3rd with a 325, beating out Duncan’s A team by 1 point.

Marlow B team scored 337, consisting of Tommy Miller 80, Avrey Payne 82, Aidan Duke 87, and Carter Mitchell 88. Marlow C team scored 388, Karsten Terrell 91, Bradyn Brantley 96, Gatlin Greer 99 and Rylan Ray 102.

Duncan A team shot 326, with the team consisting of Jace Black 74, Oliver White 91, Cullen Stevens 90, Ayden Pennypacker 88 and Tag Ensey 74. Duncan B team shot 407, Copper Edwards 102, Mitch Williams 104, Noah Sims 99 and Kadyn Armstrong 102.

Individual Top 10 tournament players were: Carter Ray 65 from Walters; Crue Garrett 71 from Velma-Alma; Jace Black 74, Duncan; Tag Ensey 74, Duncan; Brendyn Pierce 77, Davis; Lane Jones 77, Marlow; Karston Rennie 78, Pauls Valley; Lane Boyles, 79, Marlow; Brad McClure 79, Marlow; and Dakota Weatherford 80, Pauls Valley.

Tournament team standings: Marlow, 1st, 323; Pauls Valley, 2nd, 323; Velma-Alma 325; Duncan A 326; Marlow B 337; Walters 342; Frederick 350; Pauls Valley B 361; Davis 363; Wilson 370; Washington A 377; Okarche 391; Washington B 416; Okarche B 476; and AM-PO B 512. Single golfers represented Central, Sterling and Lawton.
