Norma Louise Adams, 91, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in Marlow.

Services are pending at Fort Sill cemetery at a later date. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Duncan.

Louise was born Tuesday, September 1, 1931, in Chickasha, to G.W. and Denton (Smith) Eoff.

She was a 1949 graduate of Frederick High School, where she earned numerous medals and ribbons for her performance on the basketball court.

Louise also attended business school in Fort Worth, TX. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1953 and began to work with large firms in the insurance industry. Louise was a long-time member of the Insurance Women's Association.

She went on a blind date and met the love of her life, Philip Edmund Adams. Louise and Phil were rarely away from one another. The pair spent almost every minute of their 50-year marriage together until he preceded her in death on December 14, 2022. Louise and Phil spent several years traveling for Western Boot company and other clothing manufacturers. They also enjoyed their years in western wear retail sales. After retirement, the couple settled in the Duncan/Marlow area to be with their dear friends. Louise had many friends who got together often to play Bunco and socialize. She treasured this time with “the girls.” Being with their church family was of great importance to them. She received weekly visits from loving church members, as well as, very thoughtful and caring neighbors and caregivers. Some of which were at her bedside during her final days and hours.

Phil and Louise loved traveling. They spent many winters residing in Arizona with friends they had met over the years. Louise was a member of the Simmons Center for many years and enjoyed exercising frequently. She also enjoyed dancing, playing bunco, and all O.C.U. basketball activities. Louise was very involved with the Catholic churches in Duncan and Marlow for many years. She and Phil are once again reunited for eternity, and she will be dearly missed by many here on earth.

Survivors include her son, John Mark Adams of Wichita, KS, 3 daughters, Connie Martin and husband Phil (deceased) of Minneapolis, MN, Kittie Ringer and husband David of Dallas, TX, and Martha Green and husband Mike of Graham, TX, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, two brothers, beloved son, Paul Adams, precious daughter, Janice Anne, and grandson, PT Adams
