Linda Green-Bennett, left, Renee Maxwell Henson, Angela Wiles and Stephens County District Attorney Jason Hicks recognized Victim’s Rights at the courthouse, Tuesday, April 25. Linda was the guest speaker. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Nick Green was murdered Dec. 26, 2003, in Cotton County. She recently authored a book, “When Love Overflows” detailing her story. She talked about forgiveness and shared her life’s journey since losing her husband. Henson and Wiles each lost their own daughter through a violent crime. Henson’s daughter, Braylee Rae Henry, 16, of Velma, died in June 2012; and Alyssa Wiles, 14, of Duncan, died in June 2013. The courtroom was filled with Troopers, local law enforcement officers, victim’s advocates and other individuals attending the event.
