Water line break in Grady County Courthouse shuts building down this week

UPDATE: The courthouse reopened at normal time on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023.

The Grady County Courthouse in Chickasha this week closes at 11 a.m. today and will remain closed until Thursday morning. There has been a water line break in the courthouse attic. The notice was released by Dale Thompson, County Director for Grady County Emergency Management, per the commissioners this morning, Monday, July 31, 2023. Other county offices not located in the courthouse remain open. The Grady County Courthouse is located at 217 North 3rd Street, Chickasha.
