Nunez, Filippo recognized at OK State Capitol for Beef Champion Titles

Oklahoma youth beef cattle exhibitors visited the Oklahoma State Capitol earlier this month and were recognized by legislators on their many outstanding accomplishments earned over the summer break. Two local junior beef cattle champions, Felicia Deloera Nunez of Marlow, who won Junior Grand Champion Cow/Calf Pair at the Miniature Hereford Junior Nationals, and Kamden Filippo, of Rush Springs, who won Reserve Champion Bred & Owned Purebred Bull at the National Junior Shorthorn Show. Oklahoma had more than 30 reigning national champions and reserve champions from multiple breeds this year, according to Sen. Jessica Garvin.
