Catherine Aquilla Moore (1929-2023) Marlow, OK

Catherine Aquilla Moore, 94, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, in Marlow.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Midway Church of Christ, north of Duncan.

Catherine was born Wednesday, April 10, 1929, in Glenwood, AR, to Charles Fredrick and Elizabeth Nancy (Daubenspeck) Moss.

She lived in Dayton, OH for more than 40 years. Catherine married the love of her life, Harry Moore, in Dayton, OH.
She and Harry shared many wonderful years and memories together until he preceded her in death. While Catherine lived in Dayton, she served as secretary for the Generals at Wright Patterson AFB for more than seven years and she also worked as a librarian at the University of Dayton for 13 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching game shows of any kind, especially Wheel of Fortune.
Catherine loved her family the most and she enjoyed spending time with them. She will be missed by many.

Survivors include her two sisters, Joyce Webb of Duncan, and Opal Cavin of OKC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her loving husband, Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, son, Robert Moore, two brothers, Melton and Robert, and sister, Amy Nunn.

Cremation and all arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
