Betty Lou Alexander (1939-2023) Marlow, OK

Betty Lou Alexander, 83, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 in Marlow.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the Woodlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Jerry Couch officiating. Visitation for Betty will be at the funeral home, 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, and Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 11.
Betty was born Wednesday, December 20, 1939, in Marlow, to Jefferson Davis and Bertha Marie (Savage) Wortham. She was a lifelong resident of Marlow. Betty spent her days as a homemaker. Taking care of her husband and children was her greatest blessing. Betty married the love of her life, Kenneth Don Alexander, on Oct. 18, 1957, in Marlow. She and Kenneth celebrated more than 65 years of marriage together at the time of her passing.
Betty was a long-time member of Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow and was very active within the church. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and gardening. Betty enjoyed cooking big holiday dinners for her family. She made the best homemade bread around and always had requests coming in to bake some. Betty enjoyed going down to the pond to enjoy the wildlife when she wasn't busy doing other things. Her family was her everything, especially her grandkids. She never passed up the opportunity to spend time with them and make new memories. Betty was loved by all and will be deeply missed in the days to come.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Alexander of the home, son, Lynn Alexander and wife Maria, two daughters, Annette and John Looper, and Kathy and Jerrako Evans, grandchildren, Travis Bradshaw, Corey Bradshaw and wife Selena, Justin White and wife Amber, Leigh-Anne Wright and husband Travis, Lindsay Reynolds and husband Chris, Reece Alexander, Eli Alexander, Ava Alexander, great-grandchildren, Briar White, Canyon White, Gus Miller, Jax King, and Cadence Wright, and sister, Donna Kaye Nite.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Cheri Miller, grandson, Blaine Alexander, and nephew, Jeffrey Miller.
Burial and all arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
