Attention Outlaw Fans! Marlow to host Douglass game Thursday
What You Need to Know
Due to scheduling conflicts on the part of Douglass HS, and OKCPS, this week's district football game has been moved to Marlow.
It was originally scheduled to be played at Moses Miller Stadium on the campus of Douglass HS. But because of this issue, Douglass has been gracious enough to agree to come to Marlow to play on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
If this change had not been made, Marlow would have had to play the game on Friday night, in OKC.
As a result of the short time-frame associated with the location change, as well as Fall Break beginning this Friday for Marlow schools, there are a couple of changes that will have to be made to our normal game-night experience.
These modifications are being made due to the fact that many of our regular game/gate workers had already made plans to be out of town for the break.
1) MPS will not charge admission for the game. So, all fans will be able to get in for free. But, the east ticket gate will not be opened. All fans entering on that side must go through the pass gate on the north side of the wrestling facility. The pass gate on the west side will remain closed. All fans will enter through the gate on the south side of the ticket booth. Both gates will be closed at 4:30 p.m. and then re-opened for fan entry at 5:30 p.m.
All fans are asked to remember our MPS Athletic Facility guidelines concerning no outside food or drink and that only official service animals (no ESAs or pets) are allowed.
We will have gate workers, and police officers, present at the gates to watch for prohibited items.
2) We will not open the visitor's side concession stand this week. But, the home concession will be open with the normal full menu. However, due to the JH games being played at home on Tuesday night, we will not have a large supply of some items. We will attempt to re-stock as much as we can on short notice. But, be sure to get to the concession before we may run out of your favorite item(s)!
3) There will be no pre-game fundraiser meal in the cafeteria.
Thank you for your understanding of this situation. And, we appreciate everyone's continued support of Marlow Outlaw Athletics!
