Betty Sue Barton (Oct. 21, 1942 - Oct. 27, 2023) Marlow, OK

Betty Sue Barton, 81, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, in Oklahoma City, OK.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow, Oklahoma.

Betty was born Wednesday, October 21, 1942, in El Reno, OK, to Earl Franklin and Thelma (Reeves) Watts. Betty married Lara Joe Barton in Oklahoma City in January of 1969. They raised their family together, and moved to Marlow in 1991. Betty and Lara were together for thirty-three years before his passing in 2002. Betty continued caring for and loving her family. She loved spending time with them and seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty also enjoyed being outside as well as cooking for everyone.

Survivors include five sons, William Barton and wife, Kerri, of Marlow, Wayne Barton of Velma, Charles Chambless and wife, Connie, of Yukon, Donnie Chambless of Alabama, and Bobby Chambless of Alabama; three daughters, Donna Barton of Marlow, Peggy Whaley and husband, Donnie, of Marlow, and Shelly Robert of Alabama; her brother, Jimmy Watts and wife, Linda, of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Sharon Watts of Oklahoma City and Debbie Watts of Oklahoma City; sixteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sons, Dale Barton, Bobby Barton, and Rickie Barton, daughter, Tina Barton, four sisters, and five brothers.

Pallbearers will be: William Barton, Wayne Barton, J.W. Barton, Tyler Barton, Glen Woods, and Devin Woods.
