Sign Up Dates For Christmas Food Box

The Marlow Samaritans annual Christmas Food Box distribution is set for Saturday, Dec. 16. It will be held at First Baptist Church Life Center from 10 a.m. until noon.

Anyone with a Marlow address and living in the Marlow School District is eligible to sign up.

"We sign up families in our school district because Bray and Central High have food banks and will be giving out their own Christmas boxes," said Carolyn Lowe, Samaritan food director.

"You must come to our location and sign up even if already on the monthly food bank list," she stressed. "Everyone must come in person. No one can sign up for another individual." (Only exception is for those who are physically handicapped and a volunteer will go to their home to help them sign up.)

The designated place to sign up is at the Marlow Samaritan building, located at 214 West Main, downtown Marlow. Sign-up dates and times are as follows: November 27, 28, 29 or 30 and Dec. 4, 5, or 6. Hours will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on each of those dates. No one will be able to sign up after Dec. 6.

Again, anyone can sign up who has a Marlow address and lives in the Marlow School District.
