October was a very successful month for the Marlow FFA Chapter.

The freshmen members traveled all over the state competing in Opening and Closing ceremonies contest and Greenhand quiz. This group has become the most decorated set of freshmen Marlow has had since 2021, when advisor Quaid Kennan began working here. We were regional champions and runner up and competed at the state contest in Stillwater. Members who competed in the State Contest were: President: Jazmine Montz, Vice President: Payten Reynolds, Secretary: Rylie Evans, Reporter: Kenleigh Graham, Treasurer: Rowan Cox, Sentinel: Samantha Williams, and Greenhand Quiz: Madilynn Graham.

The Shooting team has had practice every Monday since August and their hard work paid off as the Senior team advanced to state. They will compete Nov. 15. The members are Hunter Miller (who placed 2nd at the regional contest), Andrew Wollenberg, Ethan Vanston, and Micheal Gates

FFA Members met on Oct. 30, to have their annual Pumpkin Carving Chapter meeting. This year a costume contest was held along with the Pumpkin Carving contest. Winners were Emma and Avery Throckmorton, Mckenna Austin and Payten Reynolds.

Mr. and Mrs. Kennan along with Emma Throckmorton, Avery Throckmorton, Hunter Miller, Billie Lewis, and Andrew Wollenberg traveled to the 96th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis this past week on a tour bus with members from Comanche, Central High, Empire and Haworth FFA Chapters. They toured multiple agricultural-related tours and met FFA members from all across the United States.
