Bear 56, Marlow, OK passed away on Sunday, December 17th, 2023. He was born in Lawton, OK to Jerry and Neva Wilcher. He graduated from Okeene High School in 1985 and was proud to be a Whippet.
On December 28th, 1990, Bear married the love of his life Staci (Boo), and they have two beautiful children Chase and Bralyn Wilcher. He loved his family and it showed every day. He did everything he needed to do to provide for them and to protect them. He was the big Dad when he needed to be and succeeded in being the best Father. He was a loyal husband and loved his Boo and he always made it known. Shortly after this, they moved to Marlow, OK “Outlaw” country as it is known.
As a young boy, Bear was raised on motorcycles riding all over the state of Oklahoma from the gypsum hills of Okeene to back pastures and rivers to the mountain tops of Hochatown.
While living in Marlow, he traded his iron horse for a roping horse for a while and enjoyed team roping with his brother and riding all over the “Outlaw” country on his big horse, Grey.
But the open road was still calling and he swapped his roping horse for an Iron Horse where Bear 1%er was a full and active member of The Outlaws MC. He was a longtime member of the Ardmore Chapter of Outlaws. Bear 1%er was known by his Outlaw brothers all over the world and was loved and respected.
Bear enjoyed spending time outdoors and fishing. When he was younger he loved trout fishing in Creede, CO or walleye fishing on Canton Lake with his Grandpa Harry. He carried that passion on and loved to take his Grandson Blaise to go catch big hybrids on Waurika Lake. He always enjoyed being with his nieces and nephew and will forever be known as “Uncle Bear.”
Bear was all in for whatever he was doing whether it was his family, work, hobbies or his Brotherhood. You always knew where Bear was standing not just in his big stature but in his heart as well. Bear worked construction all of his life and it took him all over the country. He would take that knowledge and apply it in his life. He could help build you up or he would just be there for your support.
Pallbearers will include Minion 1%er, PeeWee 1%er, Richie Rich 1%er, Dirty 1%er, German 1%er, and Wickett 1%er. Honorary pallbearer will be Blaise Wilcher.
Bear was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Harry and Lois Karbs, his Mom, Neva, Uncles Larry and Alan Karbs, and cousins Chris, Charity and Jackson Karbs.
