Karolyn "Katy" Kay House (Oct. 10, 1943 - Dec. 27, 2023) Duncan, OK

Karolyn ‘Katy’ Kay House, 80, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, in her home surrounded by loved ones.

Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with Lee Parish officiating. Burial will be in the Letitia Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, Oklahoma.

Katy was born Sunday, October 10, 1943, in Lawton, OK, to Guy Burnett Bertram and Joyce Maria (Box) Bertram. Katy attended Central High School and lived most of her life in the Stephens County area. Katy met the love of her life Ernest Lynn House Sr. and they got married in Wichita Falls, Texas, on November 12, 1966. Katy was an active member of the Marlow Church of Christ until her passing and always enjoyed listening to the sermons. Katy also enjoyed painting, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons Ernest Lynn House Jr. of Marlow, Scottie House and wife Julie of Cushing, a daughter, Kimberly Lowry and husband Brian of Marlow, seven grandchildren, Jamie House, Veronica Joy Herr, Ashley House, Mary House, Walter Madison House, Jackson House, and Jacob House, two great-grandchildren Hailey McClendon, and Anna Rettig, as well as a host of friends.

Katy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Colleen Bertram, two daughters, Rhonda K. Herr, Sherri D. Smith, and grandson Rickey L. Smith.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
