MMS Students Donate to Samaritans

The Marlow Middle School Outlaws made a significant contribution to The Marlow Samaritans organization for Christmas.

"They were excited to give $1000 to our local Samaritan chapter alongside MMS PTO," said PTO President Kara Choate. "The students at Marlow Middle School raised over $20,000 to put back into their school. Their first project will be to help fund a mobile computer lab. A big part of our Outlaw Way is giving back and we were really excited to be able to give a portion of the funds raised back into our community through our Samaritans."

Choate said everyone is extremely proud of the involvement from the MMS student body.

"They are an incredible group of students and we love each and every minute that we get to work with them," she said. Choate also hailed the staff and administration of the middle school and extended that to the Board of Education and throughout the district. As a PTO leader, she said it is great and they are all grateful. She also noted all of these donations are possible because of the community, family and friends who helped the students achieve the goal.
