Mary Nell Files, 80, was born September 19, 1943, in Duncan, Oklahoma to Joe and Cleo Clementine (Parks) Taylor. She passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, in Marlow.

There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

After her high school graduation, Mary was employed as a secretary at a local machine shop. She was also employed at Fortner Accounting in the Payroll Division, a door greeter and at the casino. She enjoyed shopping and fishing. Her favorite time was spent with family, especially her grandchildren.

She married Forrest Files on June 6, 1959. Their family was completed with the births of their daughters, Sherri and Susie. Mary is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Sherri Page of Bray, Susie Brooks and husband Chad of Marlow; grandchildren: Chrissy Montgomery and husband Jeff, Allyson Hatton, Joshua Lynn and wife Jennifer; and great-grandchildren: Brinkley Nichols and William Lynn. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Vernon O’Neal, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Forrest Files; brother, Barry Taylor; son-in-law, Michael Page; and all of her brothers- and sisters-in-law.
