It's a Sweet Treat Time at the Genealogy Society's annual event

The Stephens County Genealogy Society is hosting a Valentine Sweet Treats Celebration, 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 at the First United Methodist Church - Duncan. The event benefits the Genealogy Library which is available free to everyone, both county residents and out-of-area. The library has a list of needs, but its number one priority is replacing the handicap access ramp to the library. Proceeds from last year's event funded new outdoor security lighting for the building and property.

In recent years, project upgrades have included supplies (CDs, DVDs, memory sticks, and more) for the Memory Lab at the library, a book rack and subscriptions to genealogy periodicals.

Anyone is welcome to participate in this year's event for bragging rights and prizes.
