Area volunteers offer free tax services
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is a free service to the community staffed by IRS-certified volunteers. Taxes are prepared and electronically filed, from Feb. 1 through April 15, at the Red River Technology Center, 3300 W. Bois D'Arc Ave. in Duncan.
Tax-Aide program is open and available "only" from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in room 523 at the RRTC Business Center located at the west end of the campus. This includes calling in to make appointments or walk-in. Volunteers are not available at any other time. To make an appointment call (580) 255-2903 x322 to speak to a receptionist between 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Volunteers are only available to make an appointments Monday, Tuesday Wednesday during that time. You can also walk-in to make an appointment during those days and times.
If a preparer is available, sign up for next available appointment and wait for final preparation in our waiting room or another location. Return for your completed
taxes.
Waiting area will be limited to 20 people.
Drop off your taxes
Arrive at the above specified times and days to make an appointment to pick up your completed taxes at a later date.
Completed interview packet prior to drop off is required. Bring your last year's return, official documentation for yourself and dependents, and all forms of income and deductions.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is offered in cooperation with the IRS. The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program is a volunteer-run, free tax-preparation and assistance service offered to low- and middle-income taxpayers with special attention to those ages 60 and older.
"Our volunteers are trained and IRS-certified. There is no charge for tax preparation. We do not prepare taxes for businesses or rental property," said Virgie Hill, District Coordinator.
Since 1968, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers have helped nearly 50 million low- to middle-income taxpayers.
