County positions draw contenders for 2024 election

Official Certificate of votes for the April 2 election were released Friday, April 5 by Stephens County Election Board Secretary Shawnda Seely. Contest filing closed at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The following individuals filed for these races.

Jenny Moore of Duncan for the position of County Clerk; Todd Churchman of Comanche, and Stephen Upchurch of Duncan for the County Commissioner District 2 race; Melody Harper of Duncan for County Court Clerk. In the County Sheriff’s race, Undersheriff Rick Lang of Duncan, and Bill Straily of Waurika have filed.
