Northwestern commencement set for Saturday; local residents among those to earn degrees
Four Stephens County residents will accept their degrees from Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Saturday, May 4, during the 2024 commencement exercise. The event starts at 10:30 a.m. at Ranger Field.
Liam Deamico Johnson of Marlow will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. Duncan residents receiving degrees are Madison Lynette Masch-Ethridge, Master of Education for adult education management and administration, and Feliciti Wall, Bachelor of Arts for visual arts. Ethan Townsend of Comanche will receive a Bachelor of Science in computer science. Mark Brace, president of BancFirst Lawton and a Northwestern graduate from 1982, will be the key speaker at this year’s commencement.
In case of inclement weather, the spring commencement exercises will be held in Percefull Fieldhouse.
Music will be provided by the Ranger symphonic band. It is under the direction of Dr. Eric Burger, director of bands and instructor of instrumental music.
The parking tiers on the south end will be available for people to park and watch the ceremony from their vehicle. Tier parking is first-come, first-serve availability unless handicap parking is needed. Handicap parking will be available on the first tier.
