CH Lady Bronchos hosts, wins Class2A District Championship

Central High hosted the Class 2A Slow Pitch District event on April 18. The Lady Bronchos won it, outscoring their opponents 36-3 and won by run rule each game. They are now 22-9 and will be playing in the Regional Tournament on Thursday, said Assistant Coach Chasity Weldon. OSSAA will post a host site this week.

Central beat Wetumka 12-0. Individual scoring: Rashel Johnson was 1 for 3 with a grand slam, Jaylin Johnson 2 for 3, Karsen Ketner 2 for 3, and Kinlee Scott 2 for 2. Central won against Bennington 12-1. Ind. Scoring: Jaylin Johnson 2 for 3, Peyton Perry 2 for 3, Kinlee Scott 2 for 3, Andi Standridge 2 for 3.

Central also won a second game against Bennington 12-2. Ind. Scoring: Daylin Keyser 2 for 3, Rashel Johnson was 1 for 3 with her second Grand Slam of the day, and J. Johnson, R. Johnson, K. Ketner, P. Perry, M Robbins, K. Scott, and A. Standridge all had 1 hit.
