Jessie Lee Mason (Jan. 11, 1944 - May 16, 2024) Marlow, OK

Jessie Lee Mason was born in Loco, Oklahoma on January 11, 1944, to Robert Garson and Delora May (Philpot) Mason. He passed away surrounded by his family in Lawton, Oklahoma on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the age of 80.

Viewing is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Whitt Funeral Home. A graveside service is planned for 11:30 A.M., Monday, May 20 at Weaver Chapel Cemetery located south of State Highway 7 on North 2910 Rd, with David Woods officiating.

Jessie graduated from Geronimo High School in 1962. He worked at the local nightclubs as a bouncer, cook, and bartender for 28 years. He was a jack-of-all-trades working as a dairy farmer and mobile home builder before becoming self-employed with his roofing company, Mason and Son. Jessie also ran the Marlow flea market and was a member of the Marlow Gunfighters.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son Barry Mason; brother-in-law Jack Wagner; and sister, Ruby Mason.

Survivors include his daughter, Tracy Dorman of Central High; grandchildren: Shea Mason and Ashton Ferguson, Justin Guffey, Blaise Mason, Scott and Susan Goldsberry, Amber and Tyler Ausmus, Jaycee Guffey; 13 great-grandchildren including the love of his life, Elena Grace Mason, that he lovingly referred to as his Sweet Pea or his Goat; brothers: Tom Mason, Lynn Mason and wife Terri, Ronnie Mason; and sisters: Ruth Ramsey, Pat Mallow, Linda Segriest, and Maggie Wagner.
