Tammy Sue McCormick
Tammy Sue McCormick, aged 61, of Marlow, passed away peacefully on June 17,
2024, in Houston. A beacon of kindness and courage, Tammy's life was a
testament to her thoughtful nature and her unwavering strength.
Services will be held10:30 AM, Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the Eternal Life
Church, with Jimmy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Marlow Cemetery.
Tammy's journey began as a proud graduate of Bray Public School, which laid the
foundation for her commitment to her community. She dedicated many years of
service as a dispatcher for the Marlow Police Department, where her voice became
a pillar of reassurance in times of need. Her work was not just a job; it was her
calling, and she cherished every moment spent serving her community.
Outside of her professional life, Tammy was a vibrant soul with a passion for life's
simple pleasures. She was an active member of both the OASIS club and the
Eternal Life Church, where her faith and fellowship shone brightly.
Tammy enjoyed a wide variety of activities and a few of them included gambling,
vacations, flying and fishing, but nothing compared to the delight she felt when
surrounded by her beloved family, especially her grandchildren.
Tammy's legacy is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Rudy
McCormick; her three sons, Michael (and wife Dee Dee) of Marlow, Joshua of
Bray, and Seth of Ninnekah; her cherished grandchildren, Jude, Kimber, Emily,
Hannah, and Paisley; her brothers, John Wayne Thompson (and
wife Dovie) of Bray, and Tommy Dale Thompson of Elk City; her sister Tessie Hance (and
husband Gary) of Duncan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, John Darrell Thompson and Beulah (Pauline) Thompson.
Pallbearers will be: Capt. Tony Aguilera, Lt. Corey Loftice, Lt. Cole Jack, Officer
Jace Gilley, Officer Rick Coberly, Retired Officer Gina Phillips.
