Jessica was born in Great Bend, KS, and at the age of four her family moved to Kingfisher, OK and then to Marlow, OK. She and her dad moved to Wilburton, OK in January of 2002, leading to her graduating from Wilburton High School in 2004 and EOSC in 2006. Upon graduation, she moved to Edmond, OK to attend UCO, and remained in the Oklahoma City area for the remaining years of her life. When she passed, she was living in Noble, OK.
Memorial Services will be held at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Zack Potts officiating, All service arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services.
Jessica was an avid speech, track, and cheer leading competitor. She as a member of the Marlow Speech Team that won a state title in 2001. She remained active in speech after moving to Wilburton, winning numerous awards and events. She also won numerous awards in track and qualified for the state meet her senior year. She attended EOSC on a cheer leading scholarship and was a member of the EOSC cheer squad that won the NCA National Championship in 2006. She was designated an All American by the NCA.
Surviving relatives are son, Crawford R. Lawson of Lexington, father, James Toumbs of Marlow, three siblings, T Toumbs and partner KC Huang of Wakefield, MA, Tiffany Walker and husband Zach Fuchs of Yukon, Jared Toumbs and wife Kayla of Marlow, niece Nyla Walker and nephew William Walker of Okemah, nieces Anna and Ava Toumbs and nephew Anderson Toumbs of Marlow, Aunt Jeannie and Uncle David Layman of Savoy, TX, Uncle Jack Toumbs of Sandoval, IL, Uncle Jay Bates of Kingfisher, and seven cousins.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elliott Jesselle Toumbs and mother, Marcella K. Toumbs.
