Linda Jean Heffington

Linda Jean Heffington, 61, passed away Sunday,  October 6, 2024 in Marlow, Oklahoma surrounded by the loving presence of her family.

Visitation will be available to the public from 12:00 PM until 8:30 PM on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, OK. The family will be receiving guests from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home with Kenny Baker and David Snelson officiating. Burial will follow at the Marlow Cemetery.

Linda was born Monday, August 26, 1963 in Marlow to Leonard and Grace Marie (Pahrmann) Epperson. Linda participated in FHA, Rustlers, and Girl Scouts, and she graduated from Marlow High School with the class of 1982. Linda carried on with the Girl Scouts as a leader; she enjoyed leading both her daughters as well as touching the lives of numerous girls. Linda married Kevin Ray Heffington at the Church of God in Marlow on June 6, 1980. They shared over forty wonderful years together before her passing. Linda enjoyed gardening, swimming, and ceramics. She also liked decorating her house for every season and holiday as well as cooking and baking for and with her family. She was well-known for her renditions of her mother's homemade egg noodles and her father's steak sauce and rice recipe. Linda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she cherished every moment spent baking cookies and decorating sugar cookies with them all. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin Ray Heffington, of the home, son, Keith Heffington and wife, Trish, of Marlow, two daughters, Melinda Knight and boyfriend, Caylon Varnell, of Marlow and Michelle Tackett and husband, Ronald, of Marlow, ten grandchildren, Jeremy Heffington and wife, Kelsie, Skyler Knight, Chase Knight, Leon Heffington, Lucas Heffington, Austin Tackett, Nevaeh Tackett, Emmitt Tackett, Thomas Tackett, and Bailey Tackett, three great-grandchildren, Braxton, Cooper, and Nova Heffington, two brothers, Richard Baker and wife, Linda, of Elk City and George Epperson of Marlow, two sisters, Betty Snelson and husband, Dalton, of Bethany and Cathy Hamer and husband, Donald, of Marlow, and a host of nieces, nephews, and several honorary grandboys.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Leonard Epperson, two brothers, Grant Baker and Jimmy Baker, mother-in-law, Christine Heffington, and her Aunt Lilly.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Heffington, Skyler Knight, Chase Knight, Austin Tackett, Seth Aguilera, Brandon Maldonado, JR Marroquin, Phil (Goat) Shannon, and Diego Flores.
