Jill Ann Archer Manning

November 07, 2024

Jill Ann (Archer) Manning was born May 18, 1959 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Roy F. Archer and Donna Faye (Fullerton) Archer. She passed from this life on November 1, 2024, at the age of 65, in Norman, Oklahoma surrounded by the love of her family.
Jill was born and raised in Marlow, Oklahoma and graduated from Marlow High School in 1977. Shortly after graduating high school she married the love of her life and best friend, Bruce Clyde Manning, on June 10, 1977 in Lindsay, Oklahoma where they made their home and raised their two children, Bruce “Kyle” and Julianne Kathlyn.
Jill’s family was the most important thing in her life. She was an incredible mother to Kyle and Julianne. She was an active part of whatever activities they were involved in from livestock shows, soccer games, and competitions to dance recitals, concerts, and FFA activities, she was always there. As her children grew up, she was always the most supportive and encouraging mom, always believing in and uplifting them. Jill wanted nothing more than to see her children happy.
Not only were Jill and Bruce married for 47 years, Jill also worked as Bruce’s secretary and office manager in the oilfield supply industry for 20 years. They were truly each other’s best friend.
Jill loved cooking and was a great cook, although she always said her cooking never tasted as good as her mom’s.  She also enjoyed working outside in the flowerbeds and the vegetable garden. She spent a lot of time reading and liked to be with family as much as possible.
As a two time cancer survivor, who fought some of the most difficult health battles over the last 10 years of her life, she was without a doubt one of the bravest and strongest women you will ever meet. Until her last days Jill was spreading love and kindness to those she encountered.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Bruce of the home; son Kyle Manning and Heath Battles of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; daughter Julianne Jennings and Taylor of Goldsby, Oklahoma; sister Vanna Holt and Leslie of Bray, Oklahoma; grandchildren Brooklynn Jennings, Kinley Jennings, Xander Jennings, and Alexa York along with numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other beloved relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Roy F. Archer and Donna Archer.

Funeral services will be held at the First Assembly of God Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 2:00pm with Brother David Reddick, of Christian Life Church in Lexington, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at: www.winansfuneralhome.com
