Marlow Patio Garden Club to host pot luck dinner
November 21, 2024
An annual event for Marlow Patio Garden Club is their annual Soup and Chili Cook-off appreciation dinner. Held Thursday, Nov. 14 in the Fellowship Hall of the Catholic Church, not only was it a time of fun and fellowship, they also recognize husbands who have worked hard alongside members as they completed community projects. Two of those projects during 2024 was the trimming of trees along Broadway and refurbishing the Redbud Chapel sign in the park.
Welcomed to the evening meal were Corey and Michelle Wax of Ardmore. The couple recently moved to Marlow from Louisiana and are avid gardeners.
Others in attendance were Randy and Dina Atnip, Richard and Darla Muller, Ann Bedbury, Jim and Lynnita Conway, Bural and Annette Davis, Suzanne Buckley, Nan Shrader, Judy Glover, Joyce Denning, George and Bettie Cooper, Hayden Cooper and John and Cricket Holland.
Next meeting for the club is set for Dec. 12, at noon for their annual Pot Luck Christmas Dinner. The lunch will be held at the Fellowship Hall of the Assumption Catholic Church on North 4th street.
Members are to bring a wrapped dirty Santa gift for exchange and also reminded of a donation that will be taken for a boy’s school in India and the Marlow Samaritans.
A healthy Stephens County requires great community news.
