Mary Jo Curtis

Mary Jo Curtis, age 90, passed away on December 17, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on October 17, 1934 in Seminole, OK to Mary Christine (Decker) Hair and Owen Joseph “Joe” Hair. She married Eugene “Gene” Curtis on July 25, 1959. She worked as a second grade teacher prior to starting her family. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing and taking care of her plants.  

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Joe Hair, and her husband, Gene Curtis.

She is survived by her three children Michael Curtis, of Duncan, OK, Lisa Cook and husband Doug of Guthrie, OK  and Joseph Curtis and wife Monica, of Perkins, OK, six grandchildren Michael William Curtis and wife Alisa of Barcelona, Spain, Christina Mitchell and husband Zac of Marlow, OK, Kayla Cook and fiancé Jacob Foster of Guthrie, OK, Shelby Cook of Guthrie, OK, Tyler Curtis and wife Reiss of Wagoner, OK, and Brittney Curtis of Perkins, OK, and six great-grandchildren. 

A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM on January 8, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marlow, Oklahoma followed by a Rosary at Graveside at Duncan Cemetery.
