Marlow Outlaws Secure Third Place at 2025 Class 3A State Wrestling Championship

The Marlow Outlaws showcased their strength and resilience at the 2025 Class 3A State Wrestling Championship, held at the Jim Norick Arena at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds. Marlow finished with 86.5 team points, earning them a third-place finish, behind state champions Blackwell (190.5) and runner-up Salina (96.0). The Outlaws’ podium finish at the individual state tournament comes after an impressive season where they also finished as runner-up at the 2025 Class 3A Dual State Tournament.

Outlaws Stand Tall on the Podium

Despite tough competition, Marlow demonstrated its championship pedigree, producing three individual state champions, a third-place finisher, and a fourth-place finisher. The Outlaws’ strong performances solidified their place as one of the top wrestling programs in the state.

State Champions:

  • 132 lbs – Tommy Miller (38-0): Completed a perfect season with a dominant performance, winning by tech fall in both the quarterfinals and semifinals, before securing his title with a 10-4 decision over Brice Lozinsky (Berryhill). Miller’s undefeated season is a testament to his skill and determination on the mat.

  • 144 lbs – Keller Kizarr (32-2): Showed his dominance with a 13-2 major decision in the quarterfinals and another commanding 10-2 major decision in the semifinals before clinching his title with a 7-3 decision over Bowdy Thomason (Blackwell). His ability to control the pace of each match proved instrumental in securing his state championship.

  • 165 lbs – Brantz Bateman (26-1): Controlled his bracket, winning his quarterfinal by tech fall, his semifinal by major decision, and securing the championship with a first-period pin over Kelby Ingram (Blackwell). Bateman’s aggressive style and relentless pressure made him one of the most dominant wrestlers of the tournament.

Other Placers:

  • 215 lbs – Gage Hixon (29-3): 3rd place, recovering from a semifinal loss to eventual state champion Kruz Goff (Blackwell) to win his consolation matches, including a 5-0 decision in the 3rd place match. Hixon’s resilience and determination earned him a spot on the podium.

  • 157 lbs – Clint Ladon (29-7): 4th place, fighting his way through the consolation bracket before falling in the 3rd place match. Ladon’s performance was key in adding valuable team points for the Outlaws.
