Candidate Filing Opens Dec. 1 for Marlow City Council Seats
The filing period for candidates seeking municipal office in the City of Marlow will open at 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, according to Stephens County Election Board Secretary Shawnda Seely.
Declarations of Candidacy must be completed and submitted to the Stephens County Election Board by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3. Seely noted that Contests of Candidacy — challenges to another candidate’s qualifications — must be filed no later than Friday, Dec. 5. Only another candidate for the same office may contest a filing unless a candidate runs unopposed.
Two Marlow City Council seats will be on the ballot:
Councilmember Ward 2 – 3-year term
Councilmember Ward 1 – 2-year unexpired term
Forms can be downloaded from the State Election Board website or obtained directly from the Stephens County Election Board by calling 580-255-8782 or emailing StephensCounty@elections.ok.gov

Both offices will be decided during the nonpartisan Primary Election set for Feb. 10, 2026.
The Stephens County Election Board office is located at 1075 West Elm Avenue in Duncan and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
