Garland Smith Public Library to Close Midweek for Staff Training

The Garland Smith Public Library will temporarily close for three days this week to allow staff to participate in training.

According to library officials, the facility will be closed Wednesday, March 11 through Friday, March 13 while staff members attend professional development and training sessions.

Regular operations will resume Saturday, when the library reopens to the public under its standard schedule.

Library representatives say the temporary closure will allow staff to participate in training designed to improve services, programming, and resources offered to the community.

Patrons are encouraged to plan visits accordingly before the midweek closure. Regular services, including book checkouts and other library resources, will again be available once the library reopens Saturday.
