Pancake Feast to benefit Bray-Doyle Band Program

by Toni Hopper

The Bray-Doyle school band program is hosting a pancake feast, 7 a.m. to noon, Nov. 5. It will be held in the multi-purpose building. Band students, under the direction of Matt Lucas, will provide music at the event. There will be a silent auction. There is an admission fee, with proceeds to benefit the program that includes students from fifth grade to 12th grade. “We are needing to raise money for equipment upgrades for the band program,” Lucas said. There are 26 high school band students, grades 7-12, and 29 beginning band students in fifth and sixth grades. Band members are pre-selling the tickets for the pancake feast.
