Leone Carson, 93, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, in Marlow.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at the First Assembly of God, Marlow, with Rev Elwyn Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Leone was born Wednesday, January 8, 1930, in Foster, to William Lara and Katie Lorane (Franklin) Barton. She attended school in Bakersfield, CA, and at Central High. Leone moved to the family farm in Bray in 1970 and spent her time being a homemaker.

She married the love of her life, O'Dean Carson in Las Vegas in 1969. Leone and O'Dean shared many wonderful years of marriage together until he preceded her in death on December 15, 2010. She enjoyed volunteering at the food bank, crocheting, gardening, and cooking. Leone had one of the biggest hearts and was a natural caregiver. She truly enjoyed taking care of all of her children and many foster children over the years. Leone loved her family the most and never passed up the opportunity to spend time with them. She touched the hearts of many throughout her lifetime and she will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her three sons, Billy Carson and wife Hazel of Bray, Ricky Carson and wife Carmen of Duncan, and Willie Alambar and wife Kalina of Tulsa, three daughters, Denise Kemper of Marlow, Vickie Morrison of IN, and Nele Rogers and husband Mike of Norman, 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren, brother, John Barton and wife Marlene of Tacoma, WA, sister, Margaret Dorsey and husband Gary of AR, and dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and a host of friends.

In addition to her loving husband, Leone was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Larry Douglas Huddleston and Danny Alambar, daughter, Katie Darlene Matthews, granddaughter, Chelsea Carson, grandson, Randal Matthews, seven brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be: Jerald Barton, Johnny Barton, Shannon Elroy, Colby Riggins, Justin Reynolds, Kenney Dorsey, and Rodney Dorsey.
