It's time for Pet Photos with Santa Claus, a benefit fundraiser for the Stephens County Humane Society, 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10. For more information and location, call the SCHS at 580-252-7387 (PETS).
Kiddieland Express Holiday Experience at Kiddieland Park, is set for 3 days: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, and Saturday, Dec. 9, and 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, sponsored by Duncan Chisholm Trail Kiwanis. This event offers family-friendly fun, train rides, hot chocolate and treats, and children can also write a letter to Santa. Ticket purchase at the booth inside Kiddieland. This event helps raise funds for Duncan Jr. Police, scholarships to Duncan High School seniors, and for the Key Club.
Marlow Vocal Music's annual Christmas Concert will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Marlow First Baptist Church. This event is open to the public.
Christmas Storytime at Garland Smith Public Library in Marlow will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14. This is mostly for younger children, but anyone is welcome to attend.
Marlow Public School Band's Christmas Concert, directed by Matthew Pitts, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at Outlaw Gymnasium. This is a free program open to the public.
Wreaths Across America takes place nationwide, Saturday, Dec. 16. Marlow participates in this honored event each year. It will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Marlow Cemetery in front of the Veterans Memorial Monument. "We will lay the wreaths for the seven branches of military plus POW and MIA," said Mary Kay Lentz, Regent for the Duncan Indian Territory Chapter of National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution. This event is open to the public.
It's the 2[nd] annual "Adopt a Senior Citizen Angel Tree" outreach sponsored by Connor and Lyndse Sager. The tree is located at 231 W. Main St., Marlow. Wish list items include socks, house shoes, pajamas, sweat pants and shirts, snacks, toiletries and more. The goal is to help 50 residents at West Wind Assisted Living. The tree has the wish lists and gifts should be returned by Dec. 18 for delivery to the facility.
An Angel Tree is also available at BancFirst in the lobby at 128 W. Main, Marlow. This is for local nursing home residents. Gifts should be returned to the bank by Dec. 20.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, First United Methodist Church in Marlow.
